Makis Katsis Director

Makis Katsis is a Director of Consulting at Mazars. He has 29 years of professional experience in the banking sector (Corporate Banking and Finance & Commercial Banking and Leasing Industry). During his career he has worked in five (5) banks in positions of responsibility for corporate finance and in three (3) leasing companies (in two as a General Manager). 

He has 8,5 years’ experience in in Alpha Bank as Deputy Manager of Business Centers Divisions and member of the Bank’s Credit Approval Committees. Also has experience in financing companies in all sectors of the Greek economy and from several mergers and acquisitions of companies in the Greek market. During the same period he was in the bank’s team for four (4) external audits (OSI 2013, 2015, 2019, 2022) by the European Central Bank.

He has also participated in various working groups for the determination of EBA Origination (Ratios & Rules) procedures and was the head for the creation of the credit workflow at Alpha Bank (2019 – 2022) His experience extends to all sectors of the Greek economy through corporate & SME’s financing as well as loan restructuring (in the food, trade, manufacturing, real estate& hospitality sectors).

He holds a BSc in International Economics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (GR) & an MBA IN Cardiff Business School (UK) AND AN Certiciacate in Japanese Studies in Hellenic – Japanese Foundation. has taken part in various seminarssuch as IFRS, Management, Real Estate, Structure Finance, Corporate Finance & ESG.
